About Little Lake Conway
Little Lake Conway sits in Orange County on the southeast edge of Orlando, within the city of Belle Isle. It is the smaller of two lakes in the Conway Chain, connected by canal to Lake Conway and, further along, Lake Gatlin. The shoreline is almost entirely residential, built up as Orlando expanded south from downtown through the 20th century, with docks, boathouses, and single-family lots running the lake's roughly seven miles of shore.
The lake is used for water skiing and bass fishing, and the Conway Chain has long been known among central Florida ski clubs for its connected, multi-lake course. Depth is modest, reaching about 47 feet at its deepest point, consistent with the sinkhole-pocked terrain common to this part of Florida. Boats move between Little Lake Conway and its neighboring lakes through the connecting canals, making it one of the few linked multi-lake boating systems within Orlando's city limits.
