About Lake Cumberland
Lake Cumberland was created in 1952 by Wolf Creek Dam on the Cumberland River in south-central Kentucky, flooding a hundred miles of river valley to make one of the largest reservoirs in the eastern United States — about 65,000 acres with 1,255 miles of shoreline and depths to 200 feet.
Somerset, Jamestown, Russell Springs and Burnside are the lake's towns, and the houseboats built in the county line the marinas at State Dock and Jamestown. The dam was rebuilt through 2013 after seepage nearly forced an emergency drawdown.

Is it made from real depth data?
Yes. Lake Cumberland is cut layer by layer from published bathymetric soundings — each layer of birch is a depth contour, so the shape of the bottom is the real one, not decorative.
Can I add my own place on it?
