About Webster Lake
Webster Lake sits in the glacial lake country of northern Indiana, a landscape shaped by the retreat of Ice Age glaciers that left behind a scatter of kettle lakes across Kosciusko County. The lake covers roughly 605 acres, with about seven miles of shoreline and a maximum depth near 49 feet, modest compared to the region's deeper lakes but enough to support a stable year-round fishery. It sits within the Tippecanoe River watershed, part of a cluster of connected lakes that has drawn cottage owners and anglers to this part of Indiana for generations.
The town of North Webster grew up along the channel connecting Webster Lake to neighboring Dewart Lake, where a community swing bridge still lets boat traffic pass between the two. The lake has long been a bass and walleye fishing destination, with a mix of seasonal cottages and year-round homes ringing its shore. Its shape is irregular rather than round, with several bays and points that break up sightlines across the water, and the connection to Dewart Lake means boaters can move between two lakes without ever leaving the water.
