About Deep Creek Lake
Deep Creek Lake was created in 1925 by a hydroelectric dam on Deep Creek in far western Maryland, and it remains the state's largest inland lake at about 3,900 acres with 69 miles of shoreline and depths to 75 feet. It sits high in the Alleghenies near the West Virginia line.
McHenry, Oakland and the Wisp ski resort make it a four-season lake; Deep Creek Lake State Park on the east shore is the public beach. Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Washington all claim it as their weekend.

Why we cut this one
Deep Creek Lake is one of the lakes people ask us for by name — the kind of shoreline where the house has a name and the dock has a history. This board is cut from the same depth grid the configurator uses for all 104,419 lakes, so the shape is the real one.Turn it in your hands
