About Lake Pulaski

Lake Pulaski lies in central Minnesota near St. Cloud, covering about 749 acres with roughly five miles of shoreline. Like most lakes in this part of the state, its basin was carved by glacial ice that covered central Minnesota until roughly 10,000 to 12,000 years ago, then retreated and left behind the region's typical mix of kettle lakes, moraine ridges, and outwash plains. Depth surveys place the lake's maximum depth near 99 feet, deep enough for the water column to stratify into warm and cold layers each summer.

St. Cloud serves as the nearest regional hub, putting Lake Pulaski within easy reach of a metro area of roughly 200,000 people while the lake itself keeps the smaller, quieter character typical of central Minnesota's lake country. Its shoreline supports year-round homes alongside seasonal cabins, a common split for lakes this size within commuting distance of a city. At under 750 acres with a five-mile perimeter, it stays modest next to the larger lakes clustered farther north, but its depth gives it more thermal stability than many of its shallower neighbors.

Why we cut this one
Lake Pulaski is one of the lakes people ask us for by name — the kind of shoreline where the house has a name and the dock has a history. This board is cut from the same depth grid the configurator uses for all 104,419 lakes, so the shape is the real one.

Depth chart

Lake Pulaski depth chart, in wood

This is a Lake Pulaski depth chart you can hang: 6 stacked layers of birch, each one a depth contour — 17 ft, 33 ft, 50 ft, 66 ft, 83 ft and deeper, down to the deepest hole at about 99 ft. The lake covers about 1.2 square miles, and 97 shore roads are engraved around it. The shape of the bottom is the real one from published soundings, so anglers recognise their drop-offs and points.

A Lake Pulaski map for the wall — or a gift

Most of these go to a cabin wall, a lake house entry, or a home office; a lot are gifts — the family that has been on Lake Pulaski for three generations, the retirement move, the first boat. The 12-inch is the desk-and-shelf size; the 24- and 30-inch boards read across a room. Add a line under the title and star your place on the shore, and it becomes the map of your Lake Pulaski.

Questions

Lake Pulaski map — the details

How big is the map?

Four sizes: 12, 17, 24 and 30 inches on the long side, from $149. Every size is cut from the same depth data of Lake Pulaski; the bigger boards carry more shoreline roads and place names.

Is it made from real depth data?

Yes. Lake Pulaski is cut layer by layer from published bathymetric soundings — each layer of birch is a depth contour, so the shape of the bottom is the real one, not decorative.

Can I add my own place on it?

Yes. At checkout you can add a line under the title (a family name, a cabin name, a year) and star the spot on the shore that matters to you.

How long does it take?

Made to order in Waterford, Pennsylvania and shipped in 7–10 days; shipping is free in the lower 48.

Can you make a lake that isn't listed?

Any lake in the United States — we hold depth data for 104,419 of them. Search for yours; if it isn't built yet we build it when you order.
