About Otter Tail Lake

Otter Tail Lake is the largest lake in Otter Tail County in west-central Minnesota, covering more than 13,000 acres and reaching depths of about 120 feet, though more than half the lake is shallower than 15 feet. It sits along the Otter Tail River, part of the Red River watershed, and its size and mix of deep and shallow water support a broad range of gamefish, from walleye to muskie. Small resort communities and cabin developments line much of its 40-plus miles of shoreline, a longtime summer destination for the region.

On the board

Why we cut this one
Otter Tail Lake is one of the lakes people ask us for by name — the kind of shoreline where the house has a name and the dock has a history. This board is cut from the same depth grid the configurator uses for all 104,419 lakes, so the shape is the real one.
