About Oneida Lake

Oneida Lake northeast of Syracuse is about 80 square miles, the largest lake entirely within New York, but only 55 feet at its deepest. It is part of the Erie Canal system, famous for walleye and for the January ice fishing on Sylvan Beach; Brewerton and Verona Beach are the ends.

Why we cut this one

Oneida Lake is one of the lakes people ask us for by name — the kind of shoreline where the house has a name and the dock has a history. This board is cut from the same depth grid the configurator uses for all 104,419 lakes, so the shape is the real one.
