About Swinging Bridge Reservoir
Swinging Bridge Reservoir sits near Poughkeepsie, New York, formed as an impoundment rather than a natural glacial basin. It stretches across roughly 754 acres, with about 15 miles of shoreline that fold around inlets and points as the water follows the old valley contours it was built to flood.
