About Harveys Lake

Harveys Lake in Luzerne County is about 620 acres and 100 feet deep — the largest natural lake in Pennsylvania by volume — in the hills northwest of Wilkes-Barre. The Lake Grove amusement park and dance pavilions are gone, but the lakeside road, the yacht club and the Grotto pizza remain.

On the board
  • 8 shore towns named, with a star on each
  • 135 roads engraved around the shore, 12 of them labeled
  • 6 depth layers, each step engraved with its depth in feet
  • Compass rose, title block with coordinates, max depth and area; keyhole hanger on the back
Why we cut this one
Harveys Lake is one of the lakes people ask us for by name — the kind of shoreline where the house has a name and the dock has a history. This board is cut from the same depth grid the configurator uses for all 104,419 lakes, so the shape is the real one.
