The lake

About Lake Arthur

Lake Arthur in Butler County was created in 1970 as the centerpiece of Moraine State Park, about 3,200 acres and 36 feet deep, on the glacial moraine that once dammed a far larger lake. Its sailing club, the Pleasant Valley beach and the bike trail around the north shore make it Pittsburgh's closest big lake.
