About Marsh Creek Lake

Marsh Creek Lake was built between 1970 and 1973, when the state dammed Marsh Creek to secure drinking water for the Chester County Water Resources Authority and to control seasonal flooding in the valley. The 535-acre lake, with an average depth of about 40 feet and a maximum near 73 feet, sits inside Marsh Creek State Park a couple of miles west of the village of Eagle. The park opened for boating, fishing and hiking in 1974, and it remains a stop for migrating waterfowl and a 'big bass' fishery where only bass 15 inches or longer may be kept. Sailing is popular on its open water too.

Why we cut this one
Marsh Creek Lake is one of the lakes people ask us for by name — the kind of shoreline where the house has a name and the dock has a history. This board is cut from the same depth grid the configurator uses for all 104,419 lakes, so the shape is the real one.
