About Logan Martin Lake

Logan Martin Lake sits on the Coosa River about 30 miles east of Birmingham, Alabama, formed when Alabama Power's Logan Martin Dam went into service in 1964. It covers roughly 17,000 acres and runs to about 110 feet deep, with 275 miles of shoreline that earned it the nickname Lake of a Thousand Coves. Pell City is the main town on the water, and the lake has hosted the Bassmaster Classic three times, in 1992, 1993 and 1997.

On the board
  • 24 shore towns named, with a star on each
  • 2,985 roads engraved around the shore, 0 of them labeled
  • 6 depth layers, each step engraved with its depth in feet
  • Compass rose, title block with coordinates, max depth and area; keyhole hanger on the back
Why we cut this one
Logan Martin Lake is one of the lakes people ask us for by name — the kind of shoreline where the house has a name and the dock has a history. This board is cut from the same depth grid the configurator uses for all 104,419 lakes, so the shape is the real one.
