About Lake Guntersville
Guntersville Lake was created by TVA's Guntersville Dam in 1939 on the Tennessee River in northeast Alabama, about 69,000 acres and 75 miles long — the largest lake in the state and one of the best largemouth bass fisheries in the country. Guntersville, Scottsboro and Lake Guntersville State Park are on its shore.
