About Cobbosseecontee Lake
Cobbosseecontee Lake spans five towns in Kennebec County, Maine — Winthrop, Manchester, Monmouth, West Gardiner and Litchfield — a glacially shaped lake of about 5,543 acres and 100 feet at its deepest, with 29 named islands along its irregular shore. Ladies' Delight Light, built in 1908, is the only active lighthouse on inland water in Maine. The Cobbosseecontee Yacht Club has run since 1904, and the lake is a well-known bass and northern pike fishery.
