About Crystal Lake Oakland

Crystal Lake is a small, privately held lake in Pontiac, Michigan, covering about 83 acres with a maximum depth of only 11 feet, one of dozens of glacially formed lakes packed into Oakland County. It is easy to confuse with the much larger Crystal Lake in Benzie County on the state's west side, but this one is a quiet, shallow neighborhood lake surrounded by homes rather than a resort destination. Its size keeps it out of the spotlight compared with nearby Cass Lake and Pontiac Lake, but it remains a fixture of the local landscape.
