About Duck Lake Calhoun
Duck Lake is the largest lake in Calhoun County, Michigan, covering about 629 acres near the town of Springport, with most of the lake five to ten feet deep and a maximum depth of 50 feet. It is counted among Michigan's fifty best fishing lakes for its warmwater variety, holding northern pike, walleye, largemouth and smallmouth bass, and several sunfish species in good numbers. A public boat landing gives access for the boating, fishing and sailing that make up most of the lake's traffic.
