About Lake Fenton

Lake Fenton is a natural lake in Genesee County, Michigan, covering about 845 acres and reaching depths near 90 feet, considerably deeper than many of the small lakes scattered through this part of the state. The city of Fenton sits on its northeast shore, and the lake's clear, deep water supports a strong muskie and smallmouth bass fishery alongside its steady boating traffic. It sits within easy reach of Flint and the northern Detroit suburbs, making it a popular weekend lake for the region.

On the board
  • 143 roads engraved around the shore, 15 of them labeled

  • Compass rose, title block with coordinates, max depth and area; keyhole hanger on the back
Why we cut this one
Lake Fenton is one of the lakes people ask us for by name — the kind of shoreline where the house has a name and the dock has a history. This board is cut from the same depth grid the configurator uses for all 104,419 lakes, so the shape is the real one.
