The lake

About Lake Orion

Lake Orion is a natural lake in Orion Township, Oakland County, Michigan, covering about 470 acres and reaching a maximum depth near 58 feet. It is one of the county's more heavily used all-sports lakes, ringed by homes and a small downtown that shares its name, with public access at Green's Park and several other landings. The lake sits within easy reach of Rochester and the northern Detroit suburbs, and boating, fishing and a summer concert series around the shore keep it busy through the season.
