The lake

About Indian Lake

Indian Lake in Logan County was built in the 1850s as a feeder reservoir for the Miami and Erie Canal, about 5,100 acres and mostly shallow, sitting on the divide between the Great Miami and the Erie drainages. Russells Point's dance halls and amusement park made it Ohio's playground in the 1920s; Indian Lake State Park holds it now.

Indian Lake is one of the lakes people ask us for by name — the kind of shoreline where the house has a name and the dock has a history. This board is cut from the same depth grid the configurator uses for all 104,419 lakes, so the shape is the real one.
