About Lake Eufaula

Lake Eufaula was created in 1964 when the Corps of Engineers finished Eufaula Dam on the Canadian River in eastern Oklahoma, and at about 102,000 acres it remains the largest lake in the state, with 600 miles of shoreline and a maximum depth of 87 feet. President Johnson dedicated the dam; the lake takes its name from the nearby town of Eufaula. It is one of Oklahoma's 'Big Three' lakes, known for crappie, bass and catfish, and for the Standing Rock landmark now underwater.

On the board
  • 24 shore towns named, with a star on each
  • 6,835 roads engraved around the shore, 1 of them labeled
  • 6 depth layers, each step engraved with its depth in feet
  • Compass rose, title block with coordinates, max depth and area; keyhole hanger on the back
Why we cut this one
Lake Eufaula is one of the lakes people ask us for by name — the kind of shoreline where the house has a name and the dock has a history. This board is cut from the same depth grid the configurator uses for all 104,419 lakes, so the shape is the real one.
