The lake

About Canadohta Lake

Canadohta Lake is a 168-acre glacial lake in the hills of Crawford County, Pennsylvania, about 46 feet deep, at the headwaters of Oil Creek. Its name is Seneca; the lake was Harmonsburg's lumber mill pond before it was anyone's summer cottage.

The cottages along the shore road, the public beach and the Canadohta Lake community make it one of the best-kept small lakes in northwestern Pennsylvania, twenty minutes from Union City and Titusville.

Why we cut this one

Canadohta Lake is one of the lakes people ask us for by name — the kind of shoreline where the house has a name and the dock has a history. This board is cut from the same depth grid the configurator uses for all 104,419 lakes, so the shape is the real one.
