About Toledo Bend Reservoir

Toledo Bend Reservoir was completed in 1969 when Texas and Louisiana jointly dammed the Sabine River, the largest reservoir in the South and the fifth-largest in the country by surface area at about 186,000 acres, with a maximum depth of 110 feet. It was the only U.S. public water and hydropower project ever built without federal financing, split evenly between the two states. Burkeville, Texas, and Many, Louisiana, anchor its opposite ends, and it is one of the best-known bass lakes in the country.

  • Compass rose, title block with coordinates, max depth and area; keyhole hanger on the back
Why we cut this one
Toledo Bend Reservoir is one of the lakes people ask us for by name — the kind of shoreline where the house has a name and the dock has a history. This board is cut from the same depth grid the configurator uses for all 104,419 lakes, so the shape is the real one.
