The lake
About Lake Texoma
Lake Texoma was created in 1944 by Denison Dam on the Red River, one of the largest reservoirs in the country at about 89,000 acres and 100 feet deep, its water slightly salty from the Red's upstream beds — which is why striped bass breed here naturally. Denison, Pottsboro and Kingston are its towns.
