About Lake Nagawicka

Lake Nagawicka is a natural lake near Delafield in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, covering about 981 acres and reaching depths of 90 feet, deep enough to hold its clarity better than many of the shallower lakes nearby. Its name comes from a word meaning 'there is sand,' a reference to the sandbars along its western shoreline. The lake is almost entirely ringed by private homes and cottages, with musky, bass and walleye fishing its main draw, and it sits within easy reach of Waukesha and the western Milwaukee suburbs.
