The lake
About Gull Lake
Gull Lake lies between Kalamazoo and Battle Creek in southwest Michigan, about 2,000 acres and 110 feet deep, spring-fed and unusually clear. W.K. Kellogg built his summer manor on the east shore in 1926; it is now Michigan State University's conference center.
Richland and the villages of Yorkville and Bay View surround it, and the Gull Lake Country Club and the Yacht Club's scow fleets are its institutions.
