About Center Hill Lake
Center Hill Lake was completed in 1948 by the Corps of Engineers on the Caney Fork River, about 18,000 acres and 190 feet deep with 415 miles of shoreline an hour east of Nashville. Edgar Evins and Rock Island state parks and the Caney Fork's tailwater trout fishery are its neighbors; Smithville and Sparta are the towns.
