The lake
About Lake Dunmore
Lake Dunmore lies in Salisbury and Leicester, Vermont, a natural glacial lake about 985 acres and just over three miles long, reaching 105 feet at its deepest. Sucker Brook feeds it from the Moosalamoo National Recreation Area, and the Leicester River carries its water out toward Otter Creek and Lake Champlain. Branbury State Park holds the sandy beach on the east shore, and Keewaydin Dunmore, a boys' camp founded in 1910, has run on the lake for more than a century.
