About Angeline Lake
Angeline Lake sits in the Cascade Range outside Wenatchee, Washington, covering about 161 acres. Its shoreline runs roughly two miles, rimmed largely by forest rather than lakefront development. The lake reaches a maximum depth of about 43 feet, modest next to the deeper glacial lakes found elsewhere in the range. Anglers and hikers reach it mostly on foot, since Cascade lakes at this scale rarely support motorized boat traffic.
Wenatchee, the nearest city, built its economy on apple orchards along the Columbia River and is commonly called the Apple Capital of the World. Angeline Lake sits away from that valley floor, in higher forested terrain typical of Cascade backcountry access points. It draws a smaller crowd than the region's marquee lakes: day hikers, casual anglers, and people working nearby trail networks. Its modest size and depth keep it out of the guidebooks reserved for the area's larger, better-known lakes.
