About Lake Roesiger
Lake Roesiger sits in the hills of Snohomish County east of Lake Stevens, near the small community of Machias. The lake is ringed mostly by private homes and cabins, with a county park on its north shore providing the main public access point for boat launching and swimming. Its rural setting, only a short drive from Everett, has made it a longtime destination for people looking for a smaller, quieter alternative to the bigger lakes closer to Puget Sound.
The lake carries kokanee, rainbow trout, and largemouth bass, and it draws a steady mix of anglers, water-skiers, and families with cabins passed down through generations. Growth around Everett and Lake Stevens has gradually filled in the shoreline with year-round residences alongside older seasonal cottages. At roughly 301 acres with about six miles of shoreline, Roesiger is small enough to cross by kayak in an afternoon, yet deep enough in its central basin to hold cold water fish through the summer.
